MARIB, Aug. 03 (YPA) – The northern city of Marib has witnessed fierce battles between the recruits of the Saudi-led coalition forces, according to local sources on Tuesday.
The sources affirmed that the confrontations erupted among the two axes of the coalition in the desert separating the north of the city of Marib and the east of the Khab Washaf district in Jawf governorate.
Rrecruits of the “First Border Guard” Brigade, led by “Heikal Mohammed Hantaf”, commander of the northern axis of the coalition forces, attacked military sites belonging to the Jawf axis, led by Amin al-Akimi, on the outskirts of “Khanjar” desert.
The sources confirmed that the “Hantaf” forces were able to loot all the heavy weapons of the Jawf Axis” recruits, in the pretext of fear from falling into the hands of the Sanaa forces.
