SANAA, Jul. 31 (YPA) – The Algerian authorities announced on Saturday the withdrawal of the accreditation of the Saudi-funded Al-Arabiya news channel due to practicing misinformation.
The channel doesn’t not respect the rules of professional ethics and practicing media misinformation and manipulation,” the Algerian Ministry of Communications said in a brief statement.
The statement did not provide facts to support its claim, while Al-Arabiya has not yet comment on a decision.
The Algerian Ministry of Information attributed the reasons for withdrawing the accreditation of the accreditation of France 24, a French state-run channel, at the time to “its bias in covering the protests rallies and the use of archive photos to exaggerate the size of the demonstrators.”
