SANAA, Jul. 29 (YPA) – Five people were killed in a nursing home in the Chinese capital, Beijing, after part of a road bridge collapsed due to heavy rain, which led to a mudslide that damaged part of the building on the side of the road.
Haidia district authorities stated that 12 people in a nursing home in Haidian were trapped after the accident, seven people were rescued and sent to hospital, one person underwent surgery for a leg injury, and others were discharged from hospital after examination.
Local authorities have resettled all persons in the aged care facility and are working to identify potential risks in all nursing homes and adjacent areas. An investigation was launched into the accident.
