Despite topping his group, swimmer Al-Yamani leaves Tokyo Olympics

TOKYO, Jul. 28 (YPA) – The national swimming team player, Mukhtar Al-Yamani, has concluded his participation in swimming competitions by taking first place in the 100m freestyle competition within the 32 Olympic Games in a new Yemeni record.

Al-Yamani topped his group, but winning is subject to the system of calculating the best time in the groups that include world stars in this game. He was close to one of the first three places in the 200m freestyle, and he topped the group in its three stages and slipped to fourth place in the same last race with another new time of 97, 49, 1.

It is worth noting that Mukhtar Al-Yamani, who is residing in America, has represented Yemen in many international tournaments, including the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and the Asian Games in Jakarta 2018.
