Amnesty calls on Manama to immediately release of ‘Mushaima and Al-Singace’

SANAA, Jul. 24 (YPA) – Amnesty International has called on the Bahraini authorities to immediately release the detained activists Hassan Mushaima and Abduljalil al-Singace.

“Two opposition activists in Bahrain, Abduljalil Al-Singace and Hassan Mushaima, were hospitalized on July 18th,” Amnesty said on its Twitter account. They are prisoners of conscience, have previous health conditions and need special care.”

“They must be released immediately and unconditionally,” the amnesty  stated.

“Abduljalil al-Singace began a hunger strike on July 8th to protest his abusive treatment in prison and the confiscation of his research in April, which he worked on for four years,” it added.

“Hassan Mushaima was taken to hospital for tests. His sugar and blood pressure levels are very high and he is currently likely to have other health problems. Bahrain should allow access to his medical file in full.
