WASHINGTON, Jul. 24 (YPA) – President Joe Biden will meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi later this month in Washington, the White House said Friday.
According to White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, the visit will take place as part of the development of the strategic partnership between the two countries and will provide Biden and Kadhimi with an opportunity to discuss a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, such as education, economy, climate change and security.
Ahead of the Iraqi prime minister’s upcoming visit to Washington, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein arrived in the US capital on Tuesday for an official visit, during which he met with his US counterpart Antony Blinken.
