Tehran is ready to cooperate with Baghdad in confronting terrorist movements: Iranian FM

SANAA, Jul. 20 (YPA) – Iran has affirmed its readiness to cooperate with Iraq in the face of terrorist moves targeting this country.

This came in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh.

Khatibzadeh strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted Sadr City in Baghdad.

“These brutal acts come in the context of the ominous terrorist scenario against Iraq, which affected the oppressed Iraqi people on the threshold of the blessed Eid al-Adha,” he added.

The spokesman expressed his sympathy with the Iraqi government and people over this bitter incident.
