Armed gang seizes “cemetery” land in Aden

ADEN, Jul. 18 (YPA) – An armed gang under protection of military patrols seized a cemetery land in Aden city, southern Yemen, local sources reported on Sunday.

The sources confirmed that the armed elements were accompanied by military vehicles, bulldozers and security patrols, as they seized a cemetery in Abu Harba area in Al-Haswa neighborhood, adjacent to Enmaa city.

The people of the neighborhood had intercepted the work of these bulldozers and stopped them, but the security staff intervened to defend them, the sources added.

The city of Aden is witnessing a state of chaos due to the spread of criminal gangs and armed robbery on public and private properties, under the control of the UAE-backed militias over the province.
