SANAA, Jul. 15 (YPA) – The Russian National Defense Administration Center said that four MiG-31 and Su-35 fighters escorted three American B-52H strategic bombers as they approached Russia’s borders over the Bering Sea.
The center added, in its statement: “The fighters did not allow any violation of the borders of the Russian state.”
The statement said that after the American planes turned and moved away from the border, the Russian fighters landed safely at their bases.
The statement stressed that the Russian fighters carried out their mission, in strict accordance with international rules.
The center noted that the activity of foreign reconnaissance aircraft and drones has increased significantly recently, near the Russian borders.
For its part, the Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly called on Western countries to abandon such actions, but these countries did not show any reaction to this.
