Army takes over strategic areas of Rahba district in Marib

MARIB, Jul. 15 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces on Thursday managed shortly to took over several the Saudi-led coalition-held areas east of Rahba district of Marib province.

According to local sources, the army waged a surprise attack on the coalition forces and Al-Qaeda elements, controlling over the areas of Dawan, Rabdah and Al-Sadara in the district.

Earlier in the day, the army forces managed to retook over many of the district’s areas of “Baqtha”, “Nazra”, “Al-Atef”, “Al-Rabiah”, “Al-Sada”, “Al-Ajam” and “Sarifa” after being under the control of the coalition forces.

In the same times, the army also controlled over new strategic areas in Rahba district, especially “Haid Al Hamad” and Rahoum areas.

The sources pointed out that fierce battles are now taking place between the two parties in the eastern outskirts of the “Kula” area, amid reports of great victories achieved by the army forces against the coalition forces.
