President Al-Mashat, Health Minister discuss difficulties facing health sector

SANAA, Jul. 14 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat discussed with Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Taha Al-Mutawakel, the difficulties faced by the health sector due to the continued blockade.

The meeting touched on the cessation of external support and the lack of oil derivatives due to the detention of fuel ships by the Saudi-led coalition, and the catastrophic effects of this on hospitals and health centers.

President Al-Mashat urged paying attention to the development of the capabilities of health cadres to meet the needs of health facilities in various specialties.

He stressed the need for continuous evaluation of the performance of hospitals, health centers and medical staff and the quality of their work.
