Iran: IRGC’s forces foiled infiltration attempt by armed elements in the northwest of the country

TEHRAN, Jul. 14 (YPA) – Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) forces foiled an infiltration attempt by armed elements at the border near the town of Oshnavie, northwestern Iran

“The plan of a group of counter-revolutionary elements that intended to enter Iran from the Oshnavieh region on Monday evening failed due to the vigilance of IRGC forces, ” the revolutionary guard’s public relations in the western province of Azerbaijan said in a statement issued Tuesday.

The cell members fled the area after the  Iranian forces at Hamzeh Seyed Al-Shohada base in Urmia, West Azarbaijan opened fire on them in time and clashed with them, the statement added.
