STC denounces campaigns of repression against citizens in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jul. 12 (YPA) – The UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council STC) militias denounced on Monday the campaigns of repression and abuse committed by Islah militants against citizens in Shabwa province.

In a statement, the STC called on the Saudi-backed Islah authorities to quickly release the abductees and the wounded, and bring those responsible for committing crimes to legal accountability.

It demanded accelerating the implementation of the economic part of the Riyadh Agreement for tackling the difficult economic conditions due to the deterioration of the local currency against foreign currencies.

The statement called on the Saudi-led coalition to quickly take measures to stop the deterioration and end the catastrophic consequences for the humanitarian situation.
