Saudi Arabia seeks to form small states in south Yemen: Politician

SANAA, Jul. 12 (YPA) – The Yemeni politician and blogger, Ghassan Abdulmajeed Luqman, said on Sunday that Saudi Arabia’s moves in the Yemeni southern provinces are causing concern.

“Saudi Arabia seeks to create small states in southern Yemen, but it requires American approval, and it may meet British opposition,” Luqman explained.

Luqman added that Saudi Arabia’s intentions are not clear, amid an unknown fate of Mahra province, noting that the kingdom’s appetite is open to devouring the southern lands because it does not want stability for those provinces.

He affirmed that Saudi Arabia cannot continue the war on Yemen without the UAE.
