Armed rebellion inside pro-coalition “Special Forces” camp in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jul. 08 (YPA) – Armed clashes erupted on Thursday inside the so-called “special forces” camp affiliated with Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Shabwa province, southern Yemen.

Informed sources in the province stated that dozens of soldiers from the southern provinces declared their rebellion against the Islah, chanting, “With our souls and blood, we will redeem you, South.”

The sources confirmed that the command of the Special Forces camp ordered the arrest of the defected recruits, so that armed clashes broke out inside the camp, without talking about casualties.

The Islah party sent military forces to surround the camps of the Public Security and the Special Forces, the sources added.
