SANAA, Jul. 5 (YPA) – Seven people were killed in armed attacks in the Nigerian state of Kaduna.
The state’s security official, Samuel Arwan, said in a statement, Monday, that unknown assailants carried out attacks on Tsohun and Kakao areas.
Arwan added that the attacks killed 7 people and wounded dozens.
Recently, Nigeria banned motorcycles in some states due to their use by militants to organize attacks in the country.
The country witnesses violent tribal conflicts from time to time, and the “Boko Haram” group has carried out acts of violence since 2009 that have killed more than 30,000 and displaced about 3 million, according to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
Last May, the Nigerian military launched a security operation against the rebels, with the Nigerian government blaming some attacks on the Eastern Security Network, the military wing of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) separatist organization.
