Fierce clashes erupt in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jun. 28 (YPA) – Fierce clashes erupted on Monday in the entrance of Ataq city, the capital of Shabwa province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources mentioned that tribal gunmen believed to be from the transitional launched an attack targeted soldiers of the special forces loyal to Islah in a military checkpoint in the entrance of Ataq city.

The sources declared that the armed attack was followed by clashes of various types of weapons for several hours, and they withdrew without mentioning the number of victims.
