Islah accuses STC of carrying out criminal schemes in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jun. 27 (YPA) – The Saudi-backed Islah military accused the UAE-funded Southern transitional Council (STC) militias of carrying out criminal schemes in Shabwa province.

A security committee of the Islah in the province said, in a statement, on Saturday that the STC has tried to take Shabwa into the quagmire of violence and chaos, using all means of planning and inciting violence and threatening the interests of citizens.

Commenting on the storming of the “STC” festival in Abadan area, Nisab district, the committee’s statement said, “The preservation on security and stability of Shabwa is gains cannot be neglected or allowed to be tampered with,” adding that the members of the “STC” seek to provoke chaos and sabotage.

The statement explained that the STC’s behavior on the ground is inconsistent with the Riyadh Agreement and a clear rejection of its items, calling on the sons of Shabwa not to be drawn into suspicious slogans and calls.
