Tight ambush targets dozens of coalition’s recruits in Marib

MARIB, Jun. 26 (YPA) – Dozens of Saudi-led coalition’s recruits were killed and wounded in a tight ambush carried out in the desert areas separating the provinces of Marib and Jawf.

According to local sources, the Yemeni army forces managed to lure armed military reinforcements, which, from the coalition recruits in the so-called northern axis led by Colonel “Othman Al-Shayef”, were sent to reinforce the recruits of the “161 Infantry Brigade at Khanjar desert front.

The sources pointed out that the artillery of the army bombed the reinforcements after luring them towards the positions in the areas of “Al-Raqib Al-Abyad”, “Al-Barqa” and “Al-Zahour”.

Several ambulances were seen to transport the dead and wounded coalition soldiers to the Commission Hospital in the city of Marib, the sources added.

Last week, scores of the coalition forces and Al-Qaeda, including commanders, were killed and wounded when they waged failed military attacks towards the positions of the Sanaa forces in the Khanjar desert.
