WHO reviews its position on the vaccination of children against Corona
SANAA, Jun. 24 (YPA) – The World Health Organization (WHO) has recognized for the first time that children can be vaccinated against the Corona virus.
This comes in the updated recommendations published on the World Health Organization website.
The vaccination campaign, according to the document, should be less urgent if the children are not in a group with a higher risk of severe coronavirus infection. Priority should be given to the elderly, the chronically ill, and health workers.
It is noted that children and adolescents tend to tolerate COVID-19 less than adults.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russian Gamalya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology has submitted documents for permission to study the use of the Sputnik V vaccine on children, and a similar decision will be made in the near future.
