Update: Building burnt, military car damaged due to armed clashes in Aden

ADEN, Jun. 23 (YPA) – The armed clashes that erupted Wednesday evening between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions caused the burning of a residential building in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

Eyewitnesses said that one of the indiscriminate shells targeted the “Education Office” in the Sheikh Othman area, which led to the outbreak of a huge fire in the building located near ‘Al-Khazan’ round, in addition to damaging a military vehicle.

Various types of weapons were used during the clashes that approached the headquarters of the so-called “security build force” in Abdulqawi intersection in Sheikh Othman district, according to the eyewitnesses.

The reasons for the clashes are not yet known.
