Coalition prevents journalists from visiting Yemen: Egyptian journalist

SANAA, Jun. 21 (YPA) – An Egyptian female journalist said on Monday that the Saudi-led coalition has continued to prevent journalists and media professionals from visiting Yemen.

Walaa Omran, deputy editor-in-chief of the Egyptian newspaper, Al Gomhuria, said that the coalition is preventing Egyptian journalists from going to Yemen.

She told the “Independent Aden”TV channel, owned by former President Ali Salem Al-Beidh, that the airport security staff in “Cairo” prevented her with two journalists from boarding the plane for traveling to Aden.

Omran noted that the list of travelers to Yemeni territory is reviewed by the coalition for approval before the departure of each flight to Yemeni airports.
