Violent clashes broke out among armed factions in Taiz

TAIZ, Jun. 20 (YPA) – Violent clashes broke out on Sunday among armed factions from 22 Mica brigade loyal to Islah party in Taiz province, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

The sources indicated that the commander in 22 Mica brigade, Bakr Sadiq Sarhan an armed group to take over a land belongs to heirs of person called Jamal al-Tarjami, which led some young men to sympathize with the heirs and prevented Bakr Sarhan from looting properties of Al-Tarjami family.

The sources pointed out that during the clashes, armed pick-up vehicles intervened to end the conflict, however, it exacerbated the dispute and opened fire on Bakr Sarhan group which resulted in dead and wounded of both sides and some civilians were injured.
