Libyan army launches series of airstrikes on ISIS positions

TRIPOLI, Jun. 19 (YPA) – Air Force aircraft of the Libyan National Army’s General Command, led by Khalifa Haftar, launched a series of airstrikes early Saturday targeting positions of the terrorist group ISIS in the southwestern al-Harouj region.

According to the Libyan Observatory newspaper, “the air force, in the General Command, launched a series of airstrikes on valleys and caves in al-Harouj Mountains, where members of the terrorist organization ISIS are stationed.

The General Command said  last Thursday it launched  a military operation and deployed  infantry units in support of the Southern Liberation Chamber of Libya to track down and pursue terrorist groups, following terrorist operations targeting security patrols in the Southern Al-Harouj Mountains.
