Lahj: Clashes continue between “residents and Islah militants”

LAHJ, Jun. 13 (YPA)-  Clashes continue between the “4th Infantry Brigade” loyal to  Islah Party and the residents of “Ma’abaq” area in Al Maqatirah District, Lahj province, demanding the evacuation of their villages from military barracks.

Local sources in Taiz said that the area of Ma’abaq  witnessed on Sunday morning, violent clashes, during which medium and light machine guns were used, after the commander of major general “Abu Bakr al-Jubouli” refused tribal mediation led by the director general of  Tor al-Bahah district, Abdul Raqeeb Thabet al-Bakiri” and a number of Al-Sabiha sheikhs.

Last Thursday, violent clashes erupted  between the forces of the “4th Infantry Brigade” of the so-called “Taiz Axis” and the residents of the villages of “Ma’abaq” lies  on the border between Taiz and Lahj provinces, after the “brigade” deployed its forces on the mountains  as well as  in  entrances and exits of the area.
