Mahwit police seize 220 crimes on May

MAHWIT, Jun. 13 (YPA) – The security services in Mahwit province have achieved security achievements by seizing 220 criminal offenses last May.

 

A statistical report issued by the governorate’s security indicated that the security services seized 220 different crimes, including 23 crimes of attempted murder, 10 crimes of theft, one crime of breach of trust and two crimes of arson.

The number of intentional abuse crimes reached 23, and with regard to money damage crimes, 32 crimes were seized, nine crimes related to shooting and 56 other crimes were seized.

The statistic indicated that 44 cases were referred to the Public Prosecution, five cases to the court, 135 cases ended in reconciliation, two cases were referred to other authorities, while 82 cases are still under investigation, and 387 suspects were arrested in the crimes seized last month.

As for the traffic police in the governorate, the statistic stated that what was accomplished during the month of May were 69 driving licenses, ownership cards, renewal of ownership and 17 car number plates.

The Civil Status Authority branch in the governorate issued 714 personal and family cards, birth and death certificates, and a marriage certificate during last May.
