Iranian FM: Solution in Yemen lies in political dialogue

TEHRAN, Jun. 08 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stressed on Tuesday that “war is not the solution to the Yemeni crisis,” noting that “the solution lies in political dialogue and peaceful means.”

This came during his meeting in Tehran with the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to discuss the various dimensions of the Yemeni crisis and exchange views on ways to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.

Zarif referred to the post-crisis developments in Yemen, stressing the necessity of lifting the siege on the Yemeni people and facilitating the provision of humanitarian aid to them.
