Tribal gunmen close main road linking “Lahj and Taiz” provinces

LAHJ, Jun.07 (YPA) – Tribal gunmen on Monday have closed the “death” road linking Taiz and Lahj provinces, southwest Yemen.

According to eyewitnesses, tribal gunmen in the Tor al-Baha district blocked the road linking their area to Taiz province, in a protest over the suspension of road maintenance and expansion by the Hadi government.

Witnesses confirmed that the gunmen prevented the passage of tankers and large trucks from the road, which became a disaster in repeating traffic accidents that  claimed the lives of dozens of passengers.
