Protest in Hodeidah, condemns detention of fuel ships by Saudi-led aggression

HODEIDAH, Jun.03 (YPA) – The local authority and service sectors in Hodeidah organized on Wednesday, a protest in front of UN office in the province to denounce maritime piracy and the continued detention of fuel ships by US-Saudi aggression.

This blockade threatens to stop work in services and vital sectors including health, transportation, electricity, water, agriculture and others from providing their services to citizens and humanitarian disaster aid in the governorate.

The Deputy Governor, Ali Al-Kabari, stressed that preventing the arrival of fuel and the continued detention of ships is a crime in addition to other crimes by the US-Saudi aggression against the Yemeni people.

The director of Electricity in the governorate, Bandar al-Mahdi, denounced the continued crimes of the aggression and its mercenaries against the Yemeni people for more than six years.

A statement issued by the sit-in affirmed the steadfastness of Yemeni people in battle for liberation and independence, and to move forward until liberation of homeland from impurity of invaders and occupiers.

It denounced the shameful international silence regarding the crimes of aggression and its arbitrary practices and its continuation of maritime piracy on oil derivatives ships.

The statement indicated that coalition of aggression practices maritime piracy in flagrant violation of all international norms, charters and laws, stressing that UN bears responsibility for what is happening.

It called on UN and international community to pressure the coalition of aggression to stop the aggression, lift siege and allow entry of oil derivatives ships unconditionally.

The statement also warned of the suspension of service sectors and occurrence of humanitarian disaster over various aspects of life.
