Ship arrives in Hodeidah port to evacuate int’l aid staff amid escalating battle

HODEIDAH, June 2 (YPA) – An international ship arrived on Friday to Hodeidah port to evacuate staff working with international humanitarian aid agencies, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.

The move comes as the western coast has been witnessing escalating battles between Yemen’s army and militias backed by UAE and Saudi-led coalition.

The Saudi-led coalition airstrikes have intensified on the coastal areas, killing dozens of residents and forcing thousands to flee their homes.
