One killed, six wounded in clashes between ‘Islah militants and Murad tribes’ in Marib

MARIB, Jun.01 (YPA)- One was killed and others wounded in clashes broke out between Islah forces and tribal gunmen in Marib province on Tuesday, local sources said.

According to the source, forces affiliated with Islah paty, Yemen branch of Muslim brotherhood, at Faw checkpoint killed Walid Mohammed Naji Al-Ramli Munif from the Murad tribe as he passing by his car with his brother from the security post

The sources added that the Al-Ramli tribes had gathered into the area and clashed with the Islah forces at Al-Falj point.

The clashes left one of  soldier killed and wounded, while two Murad tribal men were injured, the sources said.

The sources noted that the situation remained tense between the two sides.

Tribesmen in Marib said that the Islah security forces at the entrances to Marib city deliberately target them and their military leaders.

Over the past few years, many tribesmen have been killed and wounded by Islah’s fire at those points on the sides of the provincial centre.
