Palestinian FM: Israel underestimates efforts to establish truce, cease-fire

SANAA, May 30 (YPA) – Palestine’s Foreign Ministry affirmed on Sunday that Israeli entity’s continued attacks and violations against the Palestinian people and its holy sites have constituted a disregard for all efforts exerted to stabilize the truce and the ceasefire.

The ministry affirmed in a statement that the Israeli aggression is an attempt to thwart the armistice and impose Israeli conditions on the ground as a fait accompli by force of occupation, especially after the positive positions announced by the administration of President Biden and his foreign minister.

The ministry strongly condemns the continuous suppression by the occupation forces against the peaceful solidarity rallies backing Sheikh Jarrah quarter’s residents who are threatened with forced displacement and expelling them from their homes.

The statement also denounced the continuation of the provocative incursions by the Zionist forces into the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
