NEW YORK, May 28 (YPA) – Hundreds of Orthodox Jews organized on Friday a protest march in the U.S. city of New York City, denouncing the Israeli administration’s policies and its recent attacks against Palestinians.
According to Anadolu Agency, hundreds of Jews marched through several streets in New York in a protest against “Israeli crimes,” and in support of the Palestinians.
The protesters carried banners with slogans explaining the difference between Zionism and Judaism, such as “anti-Zionism, not anti-Judaism,” and “The Israeli state does not represent the Jews.”
Last Friday, a ceasefire came into effect between the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza and Israel, after 11 days of fighting.
The Israeli aggression on the Palestinian territories resulted in 287 martyrs, including 69 children, 40 women and 17 elderly, in addition to more than 8,900 wounded.
On the other hand, 13 Israelis were killed and hundreds were wounded, during the Gaza factions’ response to the aggression by firing rockets at Israel.
