SHABWA, May 26 (YPA) – New confrontations escalated on Wednesday among the Saudi-led coalition factions in Shabwa province, sources said.
The sources affirmed that the confrontations reputed in Habban district between the armed men of the Laqmoush tribes loyal to the UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) and the Islah militants.
“The clashes break out after the arrival of military reinforcements of the Islah militants to the Khabar Laqmoush area of the district, coming from Ataq city, the provincial capital”, the sources added.
Shabwani Elite’s militia affiliated with the STC had reinforced Laqmoush tribes with dozens of fighters, after the tribes of Hamiar, Saad, and Al-Awaliq announced to stand with Laqamoush tribes in the face of the Islah militants.
