TAIZ, May 25 (YPA) – Violent armed clashes broke out on Tuesday between armed factions affiliated with Islah Party loyal to Saudi-led coalition in Taiz city, southwest Yemen, local sources reported.
The sources stated that the clashes erupted between members of police forces and gunmen of other military formations in Al-Haseb neighborhood, western the city.
The factions used medium and light weapons, the sources added, confirming that a number of people were wounded on both sides, while the main road was cut off with burning tires and stones.
The clashes caused a state of fear and panic among the citizens living in the area.
