Explosive device targets US military convoy in Iraq

SANAA, May 24 (YPA) – A military convoy of the American occupation forces was targeted on Monday by an explosive device on the international highway north of Fallujah area, an Iraqi security source in Anbar province said.

The Iraqi “Al-Ahd News” agency quoted the source as saying: “An explosive device was planted on the side of the international highway close to the area of Sidra in Saqlawiyah district, north of the city of Fallujah, exploded the military convoy, without any civilian casualties.”

The source added: “The explosives handling team has launched a raid and search campaign on the area of the accident, fearing that there are other explosive devices.”
