Yemen, WFP discuss aspects of cooperation to face humanitarian situation

SANAA, May 24 (YPA) – The Supreme Council for the Humanitarian Affairs discussed on Monday the aspects of cooperation and coordination mechanism with WFP to face the repercussions of the humanitarian disaster that the Yemeni people are going through.

During a meeting with the representative of the World Food Program WFP Representative, Laurent Bukera, the head of the Single Window Department of the Council, Hamzah Al-Mukhtar, stressed the necessity of returning the monthly cash aid provided by the program, paying continuously, and expanding its activities in a way that alleviates the human suffering as a result of the ongoing aggression and siege.

Al-Mukhtar indicated that the Council’s keenness to overcome and facilitate all activities related to organizations working in the humanitarian field in Yemen.
