MAHARA, May 31 (YPA) – Four civilian were killed and two lost as result of Hurricane Mekono, which hit the coast of Mahara province and the southern coasts of Yemen, local sources told Yemen Press Agency on Thursday.
The Hurricane “Mykono” made the climate changed, which led to heavy rain and torrential floods in various districts of the province since the beginning of this week.
The Meteorological and Early Warning Room warned all residents of the Ghaidh, the capital of Mahara of the arrival of a large torrents in Jaze’a valley, and to take caution and not to risk by motorists in the cutting of floods.
Furthermore, The authorities have announced the interruption of Internet service in a number of districts of the province as a result of cutting fiber optic cable in the area of Nashtun in Ghaidha district due to the continuous flow of floods.
