“ISIS” emir survives assassination attempt in Marib city

MARIB, April 29 (YPA) – The so-called “emir of ISIS organization” in Marib province survived on Thursday an assassination attempt in central of Marib city, local sources reported.

The sources said that the terrorist “Abu Ubaida al-Marabi”, emir of ISIS organization in Marib, had escaped an assassination attempt by targeting his convoy with an air strike by a drone believed to be American, in Ubaidah valley in the city of Marib.

Targeting Al-Maribi’s convey took place minutes after his departure from a meeting that included military commanders in the Saudi-led coalition forces to discuss the participation of “ISIS” in fighting in the coalition forces ranks in Marib city after Al-Qaeda announced withdrawal from the fighting in Marib, the sources explained.

The sources added that the terrorist “ISIS” organization members vowed to punish some of the leaders who met with Abu Ubaida by “slaughtering with knife.”

It is worth noting that “Abu al-Qa`qa`”, the emir of Al-Qaeda organization in Aden, announced last week that he refused to stay in the city of Marib and fight in the ranks of the coalition after a drone, believed to be an American, implemented an airstrike targeting the organization operatives.
