ABYAN, April 06 (YPA) – Saudi-backed Islah party militants have established a number of military points in Abyan province, south of Yemen.
According to sources on Tuesday, the Party deployed its militants along the coastline of the Arabian Sea, for the straight second day.
The sources confirmed that Al-Islah distributed its armed men to a number of military points and sites in the areas of Shakra, Al-Khobar, Ahwar and Ain Bamabed, until the Arqa area near the UAE-held Balhaf camp in Shabwa.
The military deployment campaign by the Islah militants aimed to encircle the UAE camp in Balhaf port in Shabwa and the headquarters of the Emirati forces in the Al-Alam area, and cut off its supply lines coming across the coastal road.
This comes after the Islah imposed its control over the strategic Ahwar area, which is the eastern coastal gateway to Abyan.
