Several insolvent prisoners released in Hajjah

HAJJAH, May 29 (YPA) – The Public Prosecution in Hajjah province on Monday released five insolvent prisoners as a first batch under the slogan “Grant in honor of the Martyer President Saleh al-Sammad.”

The releasing process came after philanthropists paid the prisoners’ financial obligations to others, which amounted 6.7 million Yemeni riyals.

Governor of the province, Hilal al-Sufi, praised efforts of the Higher Committee for Prisons Care, the Attorney General and the judicial and security bodies in the province to address the cases of insolvent prisoners.

Al-Sufi called on businessmen and philanthropists to assist in alleviating the suffering of the insolvent.
