Saudi authorities hold hundreds of Yemeni families at Sharurah border crossing
HADRAMOUT, April 03 (YPA) – Hundreds of Yemeni families have been crowding at Sharurah border crossing in Hadramout province for the second week in a row after the Saudi authorities prevented them from leaving on their four-wheel drive cars.
Saudi authorities had prevented the exit of four-wheel drive cars to Yemen under the pretext that Yemeni army forces and popular committees (Sanaa forces) are using them in the ongoing battles against the Saudi-led coalition forces.
Activists on social media launched a scathing attack on Hadi’s government because of its silence in the face of the Saudi regime’s actions, which they described as “provocative and humiliating.”
The activists called on the Saudi regime to stop tampering with the dignity of Yemenis and allow expatriates to pass through the crossing unimpeded.
