Army forces take control of ‘Al-Ahkoum’ front in Taiz
TAIZ, April 01 (YPA) – The army units backed by the popular committees on Thursday managed to take control of Al-Ahkoum front in Taiz province, southeast Yemen, military sources said.
The army units and the popular committees fought fierce battles with the Saudi-led coalition forces on the “Al-Ahkoum” front sites, most notably Al-Duba’i, Al-Khazzan, and Al-Khader hills, in the southwestern countryside of Taiz, the sources explained.
Many recruits of the coalition were killed and wounded, several military vehicles were destroyed, and various weapons were seized by the army and popular committees during the confrontations, the sources added.
