3 killed, 4 injured in helicopter crash in Afghanistan

SANAA, April 01 (YPA) – At least three people were killed and four others injured Thursday when a military helicopter crashed in Afghanistan’s Helmand province, The Ariana News channel reported, citing The Head of the Helmand Provincial Council.

He added that the causes of the helicopter crash has not been known Yet.

In the same vein, the Afghan Ministry of Defence reported that the helicopter had made an emergency landing and no injuries were reported.

The Taliban spokesman, Qari Mohammad Yusuf Ahmadi, said in a statement that the helicopter was shot down by the Taliban in Fashir district of Helmand province.

Five people were killed, including the Afghan army commander, three soldiers and a pilot, and wounded, he added.
