Hadhramaut: Activists attack Hadi governor after shooting protesters

HADHRAMAUT, March 30 (YPA) – Yemeni activists from Hadhramaut launched twitter campaign against Hadi’s governor Faraj Albasani after two civilians were killed and seven were injured in a mass demonstration in Brom Mayfa District on Tuesday.

The activists have accused bodyguards of  Albahsani of shooting the protesters vowing that he should be punished for his heinous act.

The activist Ahmed Ba’Abad wrote on Twitter: “History will  record  that  Faraj Albahasani, the worst Hadhramaian governor  in modern time of Hadhramaut. The people of Hadhramaut did not suffer as they did under the authority of Albhasani. All the citizens wish to get rid of this corrupt governor! #Albahasani_kills_Hadharamian_people.”

Activist Omar al-Haddad wrote: “Those who committed the heinous crime against the sons of Mayfa are the guards of murderer, Governor of Hadhramaut Faraj al-Bahsani, who directed them to fire live bullets at demonstrators, killing 2 and injuring 8 others. The sons of Hadramaut will not forgive you when you shed pure blood. #Albahasani_kills al-Hadharmian_people.”

Earlier in the day, dozens of civilians staged protests in Brom Mayfa district in west of al-Mukalla city, demanding to provide basic services, including electricity, and control prices.
