MARIB, March 31 (YPA) – At least two of Al-Qaeda organization operatives in the so-called “State of Abyan” were killed on Wednesday while participating in the fighting with Saudi-led coalition forces on fronts northwest of Marib city.
Elements of the so-called “Al-Qaeda” in Abyan province, who were sent to reinforce the coalition forces in their operations against the army and popular committees on the outskirts of Marib city, have suffered heavy losses in lives and gear during the battles taking place northwest the city, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.
The sources confirmed that the battles taking place in the outskirts of ‘Nakhla’ valley resulted in the killing of many Al-Qaeda operatives, among them “Abu Al-Khair Al-Sana’ani” and “Ateq Omar Abdo’.
During the past three days, the Al-Qaeda organization lost a number of its prominent operatives during the battles that took place in the “Nakhla Valley” and “Al- Tala’a Al-Hamra’a”.
