SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – A large number of prominent military leaders loyal to the Saudi-led coalition forces and al-Qaeda members were killed in the battles in the outskirts of the northwestern city of Marib during the past day.
According to sources in the city, the coalition forces and al-Qaeda were targeted when the Yemeni army foiled their failed attempts towards Al-Ajshar area and Khab Washaf desert separating the northern city of Marib and -Jawf province.
The sources identified several the most prominent leaders killed such as Major General Amin Al-Waeli, commander of the Third Military Region, Khaled Mohammed Abdullah al-Ash’ari, commander of a battalion in Brigade 14, Najeeb Qasim al-Obaidi, and “Ayoub Ali Saleh al-Bahr, commander of the battalion in “ The Fourth Brigade, border guards, Mohammed Ali al-Janahi, Abd al-Rahman Ali Ali Hamdan, in additional to the staff of the seventh battalion in the 125th Brigade, Nasir Yahya Yahya Skan, commander of an infantry battalion, and the commander Mabkhout Othman Ahmed Mubarak al-Oqili.
According to the sources, another number of leaders of the coalition military forces on the Kassara front of Marib don’t known their fate.
