WHO holds rich countries responsible for Corona deaths in poor countries

SANAA, March 28 (YPA) – The World Health Organization considered that rich countries are directly responsible for the deaths of those at risk of contracting corona in low and middle income countries.

Reuters quoted the Director-General of the Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, in a press conference, saying: “Countries that now feed young people and healthy people who are at lower risk of infection do so at the expense of the lives of health workers, the elderly and other groups at great risk in other countries”.

He added: As long as the epidemic gets out of control anywhere, variables can emerge that pose risks to those who have been infected or vaccinated.

Tedros continued: “The unfair distribution of vaccines is not just a moral assault, but it defeats itself economically and epidemiologically.”

According to a recent report published by “USA Today”, leaders and residents of other countries have increasingly criticized the United States and other rich countries for purchasing most of the world’s supplies of Corona vaccines.
