3 workers dead in sewage pit in Aden

ADEN, March 21 (YPA) – At least three workers were killed on Saturday in a sewage pit in the southern port city of Aden, local sources said.

According to the sources, the workers of the Water and Sanitation Corporation were digging in al-Haswa area in al-Buriqah district, however, large sand slides as the asphalt layer fell over them, causing the workers to be submerged, killing three and rescuing two of them.

The search under the sand for the fourth victim was still under way, one of the sources said.
