Southern politician accuses UAE of arming, training al-Qaeda elements

ADEN, March 20 (YPA) – A leader of the southern movement Ali Hussein al-Bajiri accused the United Arab Emirates  (STC) of activating  movement of al-Qaeda elements in the southern provinces.

In a tweet on Friday, the southern politician and former shura council member Ali Hussein al-Bajiri described the UAE as a “devil”, accusing it of moving al-Qaeda elements. This is the last of its cards played in Yemen, he added

Al-Bajier said the “sons of Ali Abdullah Saleh” handed over al-Qaeda’s file and its members to the UAE, which has recruited large numbers and rearranged al-Qaeda elements.

He said the UAE has worked to arm, train and move these elements in all areas of Yemen as requested.
